Biography

Barbora Fausová, DiS. (1977)

She studied at the Secondary School of Art and Crafts for Sculpture and Stonemasonry in Hořice, specializing in sculpture and stone restoration. She subsequently worked for 20 years at an art foundry, where under the guidance of master František Krajíc she mastered the complete process of bronze casting using the lost-wax method – from model to final patina.

Since 2000, she has devoted herself to original artistic creation. The themes of her works are based on realistic depictions of people and animals, while she does not shy away from a degree of stylization.

She works primarily with bronze and tin; bronze castings are produced in a limited edition of only five pieces. She also creates works in wood, stone, and more recently gray cast iron.

An important part of her work is commissioned creation. She produces original sculptures, portraits, busts, reliefs, and garden sculptures to order – for private collectors and public spaces alike. Each work is created in close collaboration with the client, from the initial design to the final execution, with an emphasis on individuality, quality, and lasting value.

Every piece passes through her hands from start to finish, guaranteeing a high level of craftsmanship and authenticity.

Her sculptures are represented in private collections in the Czech Republic and abroad.
